Moon Dancing on Water
Ch. 1: Dream a Little Dream

With a mighty yawn, Princess Luna awoke, her eyes trying to adjust to the light. Her head felt splitting, and her stomach was knotted and churning in her middle. She groaned, to see the face of Prince Aligorna of Aquilonia smiling at her. She rolled out of bed, her eyes examining the room.
"My moon goddess. How are we this morning?"
She was startled by that. Morning? She tried to put together the events of the previous night in her head, trying to find a window to peak out of. If it was morning, surely Celestia was waiting for her to lower the moon so she

"Once upon a time...." It seems that when we are little, those words define the stories we learn and live by. They are a transportation to a world beyond the mists. In Hindu speaking, they are reflections beyond the veil of maya, behind the mask of samsara. In Thelema, they are the words that move us past the demon Choronzon and beyond the void of the Abyss. They are our passage into the realm of Faerie.
How many of us really know these tales of wonder, these tales of fairy? It seems to me that a lot of what we know of fairy tales would be alien t

The Meaning of the Season
------------------------------------
It's always amazing just how magical this time of year is. The space from Thanksgiving to (arbitrary date I know, but for sports fans like myself it's a big day!) Jan. 7th just seems to hold a special meaning for many people. It doesn't seem to matter if you're a Christian, a pagan, a Jew, or a secularist, there's always something that makes this time of year one of magic and wonder. Why is that?
This is hard to pin down exactly. One can argue the fact that it's because it's the "holiday season" and holidays are always special. This is true, but it's only a partial explanation.
This is part of an ongoing project I've been working on for a year now, and will be starting a companion piece to soon.

Reevaluating Comics
I. Hello everyone. I'm sure you've all come across comics before. Rather in the form of graphic novels and trade paperback collections, single issues in the traditional magazine/pamphlet form, or in the form of newspaper strips and editorial cartoons, comics have been a pervasive art form in America for over a century. But have you really sat down and thought about them? Are they just kids stuff for you? As comics legend Will Eisner put it, do you view them as a "despised art form"? If so, perhaps it's time you gave them a re-evaluation, because I genuinely think you can learn a lot from them. And that's what I'm going to
omic Book Armageddon
I. Ladies and gentlemen, I love the art form we call comics. For nearly a decade, they've become a greater and greater part of my life. I am fascinated by the characters, the variety of styles, and the nuances that come from the combination and juxtaposition of words and images. There's something so basic about the form, about how it harkens back to our earliest days using cave drawings to illustrate our earliest stories. In that simplicity is born a supremely detailed and complex language all its own. Sadly though, I fear that with most forms of art in this world, comics are in trouble. My goal today is to explain why I
